The artists will take your hand and walk out into the evening to engage with themes of gentrification, tender desire, psychogeography, private space, public space, the internal lives of young people, and queer sexuality.
SKYWATCHERS (2015- 17)
On Saturday May 20, 2017 from 7:30-9:30pm, audience members will join our joyous twilight procession through the neighborhood and witness the stories of our ensemble at the Tenderloin National Forest. “I Got A Truth To Tell” is the culmination of a year of community dialogue, storytelling, and artistic creation around themes of ancestry, cultural gas lighting, and the radical act of having each other’s backs.
ART MATTERS 2017
An Introduction to Community Engaged Art, July 8,9 + 15,16 11am-3pm
Facilitated by Anne Bluethenthal and Krista DeNio, ART MATTERS, will look at specific case studies within Community Engaged Art, and explore an array of readings—historic and current—with the aim of understanding the multifaceted context in which we work.
